DAY 1 – Welcome to Cuba –get ready!
Begin this adventure departing from Vienna. Arrival at our destination, Havana, is expected within the day where accommodation is provided by “Casas particulares”. Get ready for a nightcap and well-deserved rest following the day’s travel.
DAY 2 – Ernest Hemingway and old Havana
After fresh breakfast, we welcome you to the capital city of Cuba, Havana, protected by the scenic fortress – ‘Castillo de Los Tres Reyes Magos del Morro’. We will journey through ‘old Havana’, the Revolution Square and the former residence of the Cuban government – El Capitolio Havana. Take a moment to savor the popular ‘E. Hemingway’s Daiquiri’ and to enjoy beloved Cuban restaurant La Bodeguita del Medio whilst enjoying a romantic walk along the Malecon promenade.
DAY 3 – Havana or Viñales (ice-cream or cigars)?
If you want to further explore the beauty of the capital, it is available all the following day. Renowned for the best ice-cream in the world and home to the largest ice-cream parlor worldwide. Come sit relax and experience revolutionary twists to the art of ice-cream that will tantalize your taste buds whilst preparing for the white beaches and chilled waters of the Caribbean.
NOT INCLUSIVE: We also offer a one-day excursion to Viñales the province best known for its cultivation and harvesting of tobacco leaves – witness the creation of handmade cigars and delve into the culture where you experience firsthand a symbol of Cuba. A walk on tobacco plantations, presentation of the process of growing and harvesting tobacco leaves, a visit to a handmade cigar factory, all of this waiting for those who choose to visit the Viñales Valley.
DAY 4 – Rum, rum and again rum
The Havana Club factory is where you can see the rum production process, from cane growing, distillation to the maturing process. Tasting a 7-year product is a very interesting part of the tour.
NOT INCLUSIVE: For culture lovers, we offer the famous Cabaret performance, Parisien.
DAY 5 – Paradise and sunscreen
Let’s move from Havana by air-conditioned buses to where paradise begins. Our destination at Cayo Coco, a separate island in the Caribbean, is hotel TRYP CAYO COCO – All-inclusive, situated on the beach. Stop and breathe and take it all its beauty in.
DAY 6 – 10 – Ever wanted to dance with dolphins?
Now that we are here the fun can begin. At Cayo Coco you can enjoy one week of virgin beaches, warm ocean, white sand. Get ready to dance, the hotel offers zumba or salsa classes and many other animation activities to entertain you as well as the chance to explore, unleashing your inner self to the cultural drum of this island beat.
NOT INCLUSIVE: The island offers also many activities such as swimming with dolphins or scuba diving or taking a relaxing sail abroad a catamaran over the vast blue seas whilst soaking up the sun and settling the most beautiful beach – Playa Pilar.
DAY 11 – 12 – Camagüey, Elier and true Cuba
We travel to Camagüey, Elier’s native city spending two nights at “Casas particulares” (Bed & Breakfast), being welcome by traditionally prepared Piña Colada. Experience firsthand true Cuban culture, cuisine, and the most expressive Salsa danced on the streets where you can see the daily cycle of the island’s residents in Cuba’s third-largest city. Another must-see is the professional dance school where Elier started his dancing career.
NOT INCLUSIVE: Take a ride down memory lane in old American cult cars stopping at scenic and iconic places around the city.
DAY 13 – 14 – Wind down and pamper
Heading out to Varadero and to one of the MELIA hotels (All-inclusive) one of the most popular tourist destinations renowned for its location and soft scenic views situated a footstep away from the warm ocean and blue waters, offering a sensual relaxation after this monumental adventure.
DAY 15 – Farewells and flowers – Varadero
Touch the sand, feel the ocean and soak up the last sun rays in Varadero, say goodbye to paradise and prepare to depart for the airport in Havana. We are waiting for the last souvenir shopping before departure.
DAY 16 – Reality strikes and Vienna Awaits
Now that we are closer to home a special thanks to everyone, these last days have been an unimaginable experience.
